Upgrade the Center's award-winning media exhibits and, in some cases, replace current technology to newly available and more efficient designs.

Our audio/visual presentations - which make up the overwhelming majority of the exhibits in the Center, have won universal acclaim and laudatory reviews as to its quality, innovativeness, uniqueness, and impact on delivering the story of Muhammad Ali.

The Center is proud of these presentations, and its staff continues to be moved by them even after viewing them hundreds of times. These presentations were carefully developed over a five year period beginning in the late 1990s. These were developed using what was then state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment and in some cases groundbreaking projection techniques, often requiring special projectors and illumination equipment to create the type of image and projection technique desired.

These have proven to be enthusiastically received by the public, and in addition to being constantly run during the Center's normal operating hours, those attending private events after hours almost always want to be able to view the exhibits during their own private events, as well.

While the state-of-the-art and the uniqueness of the equipment have provided the Center with great acclaim, the converse is that the maintenance, operation and replacement of this equipment is extremely expensive. In the time since the presentation equipment was initially specified and installed, electronics and audio/visual equipment have progressed enormously.

The result is that both the cost of the equipment required to carry out the desired effects, and the operational efficiency/lifecycle of equipment and lighting has risen dramatically.

Replacing current equipment with newer models, particularly using newer lighting options such as LED, reduced costs LCD screens, etc. will result in significant annual operating efficiencies, both reduced energy costs and significantly longer lifecycles.

This element of the campaign will enable the Center to replace its audio/visual equipment with newer, more efficient models which are now available.
