LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (October 1, 2015) — The Community Foundation of Louisville is hosting the second Give Local Louisville online event. This 24-hour “Give Day” will support nonprofit organizations doing great work right here in Louisville. Over 350 local nonprofits are registered, and a donation in any amount is welcomed in our city’s biggest day of giving to support the Muhammad Ali Center. Donations received help to fund the Center’s education efforts, programming, and exhibits.
As of 12:00 a.m. (the wee hours) on October 1, people can donate any amount by clicking here!
You can also go to www.givelocallouisville.org to see how every dollar donated is matched through partners and sponsors.
Thank you for your generosity and continued support of the Ali Center!
The Muhammad Ali Center, a 501(c)3 corporation, was co-founded by Muhammad Ali and his wife Lonnie in their hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. The international cultural center promotes the six core principles of Muhammad Ali (Confidence, Conviction, Dedication, Giving, Respect, and Spirituality) in ways that inspire personal and global greatness and provides programming and events around the focus areas of education, gender equity, and global citizenship. Its newest initiative, Generation Ali, fosters a new generation of leaders to contribute positively to their communities and to change the world for the better.
