Bestselling authors James Patterson and Kwame Alexander will celebrate the release of their new children’s book, Becoming Muhammad Ali, with a live virtual event on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 6:00pm. The ticketed event will feature the authors in conversation with Lonnie Ali, wife of boxing legend Muhammad Ali, moderated by William Carroll, board member of the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville.

Fully authorized by Lonnie Ali and the Muhammad Ali Estate, Becoming Muhammad Ali follows the life of young Cassius Clay up to age 17, revealing his struggles in school, the racism he endured, his discovery of boxing, and significant events of his childhood in Louisville. The book is co-published by Jimmy Patterson Books and HMH Books for Young Readers, and written for children ages 8 and up.
