Join Us for the Eighth Annual Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Awards
Friday, November 12, 2021
Registration & Cocktail Hour at 6:00pm :: Dinner at 7:00pm :: Awards at 8:00pm
The Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Awards were created in 2013 as a way to publicly recognize and celebrate the greatness of people from around the world. This year’s awards are especially meaningful because, due to the pandemic, we had to cancel our 2020 awards. In addition, 2021 marks Muhammad Ali’s five year passing. It has been a difficult year with a looming global pandemic, civil and social unrest, and an increased polarization of America. But the awards remind us and bring awareness to the fact that many individuals around the world are following in Muhammad Ali’s footsteps by showing courage, selflessness, kindness, and compassion. When many might feel helpless and overwhelmed by social issues and inequities, our award recipients see “problems” as opportunities of empowerment on to achieve positive impact for their fellow humans.
This annual fundraising gala honors people who are making significant contributions toward securing peace, social justice, human rights, and/or social capital in their communities and on a global basis.

Safety Measures:
We know many of you, like us, are closely watching the Delta variant. At the Muhammad Ali Center, safety is our NUMBER ONE concern. To protect the health of our guests, awardees, presenters, and staff, we are requiring all MAHA attendees to show proof of either (a) full COVID-19 vaccination or (b) a negative COVID-19 test obtained within three (3) days of the event. Guests will be encouraged to wear masks when not eating or drinking. Sanitation stations are located throughout the Ali Center, and high touch surfaces (exhibits, door handles, elevator buttons, handrails, etc.) are frequently disinfected.
