Caring Institute Recognizes Lonnie and Muhammad as Advocates for Children and for Combating Neurological Disease
Lonnie and Muhammad Ali will be commemorated at the Caring Awards Ceremony at the Omni Montelucia Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona where they will be inducted into the Caring Hall of Fame on Saturday, October 18.
Senators Bob Dole and Tom Daschle, Co-Chairs of the Caring Institute, recently announced the award winners, acknowledging “ten amazing adults and six extraordinary youths” for their efforts to give back to society. Also among the recipients of the 2014 Caring Award are Bill Clinton, Gabby Giffords and Mark Kelly, Kurt and Brenda Warner, among others.
The Caring Institute recognized the Alis for “devoting much of their time to philanthropic causes in the Phoenix metropolitan area” and “leading the fight against Alzheimer’s and striving to achieve mental health parity in health insurance plans.”
