In honor of Ali’s birthday, volunteers will engage in service projects throughout the day fulfilling Ali’s life-long commitment to service and demonstrating that Louisville is a truly compassionate city. There will be three different projects that day:
- The Greatest Confidence: Volunteers will assemble 780 personal care packages for neighbors in need of hygiene items to feel like their best self.
- The Greatest Care: Volunteers will decorate and fill 780 healthy snack packs to keep local youth and seniors strong, active and encouraged.
- The Greatest Comfort: Volunteers will work together to make 78 tie-knot blankets to keep children and families warm and wrapped in support.
Thanks to presenting sponsors, Yum! Brands and Papa Johns, as well as supporting sponsors, the University of Louisville and Heine Brothers’ Coffee, nearly 500 volunteers will be participating throughout the day to support more than 1,600 children and families and 28 nonprofit agencies. The number of items created for each project revolve around the number 78, in tribute to Ali’s birthday.
