The Muhammad Ali Center is participating in and offering the following opportunities to the public as a way of honoring the two men’s societal impact:

JANUARY 17th-20th

  • Mentor-Mentee Discounts (January 17th-20th): On Friday, January 17th, what would have been Muhammad Ali’s 78th birthday, the Ali Center will begin a weekend-long opportunity for mentors to bring their mentee to the Center at a deep discount; mentors will pay a $5 admission rate and their mentee can experience the 2-1/2 levels of award-winning exhibits for free. This promotion will run through Monday, January 20th, MLK Day.
  • International Mentoring Day Participation on Social Media (January 17th):  The goal of the day is to raise awareness of the power of mentoring around the world and the ways in which mentoring contributes to peace, development and human rights. Muhammad Ali served as a mentor to many throughout his life and that influence continues through the Muhammad Ali Center. The Center is collaborating with The National Mentoring Partnership for this online event. Dialogue will be captured through #MentoringDay #AliDay #Mentoring4SDGS #MentorIRL and #MentoringMonth. Learn more about how mentoring can influence a global outreach with respect to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) here:
  • The Greatest Give Back (January 17th):  The Ali Center and Metro United Way have also teamed up to host a full day of community service projects in honor of Ali’s birthday and his dedication to serving others. NOTE:  All of these projects are filled to capacity and registration is now closed.

  • “I Have a Dream” Speech Film Screenings, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (January 20th):  Every year, the Muhammad Ali Center screens Martin Luther King, Jr.s famous “I Have a Dream” speech. The film will be shown throughout the day from 10am-4pm.
