Muhammad Ali Center Statement on #BlackLivesMatter

At the Muhammad Ali Center, Black Lives Matter.

Black Lives are our Foundation and a Paramount Part of our Legacy.

Black Lives are our Community, our Families, our Colleagues, and our Leadership.

The Muhammad Ali Center promotes Social Justice locally, nationally, and globally in order to advance fair and equitable societies in which each individual has the ability to thrive and where all human rights are recognized, respected, and protected.

The Muhammad Ali Center acknowledges that systemic and institutionalized racism is the defining social justice issue of our time.

Through our programming, exhibitions, initiatives, and strategic partnerships, the Muhammad Ali Center works to effect meaningful change in order to remove the barriers that people face because of race, ethnicity, citizenship, gender, age, religion, culture, disability, poverty, health, and limited access to education.

At the Muhammad Ali Center—Black Lives are Valued. Black Lives are Affirmed. Black Lives are Loved.

The Muhammad Ali Center stands in solidarity with the #BlackLivesMatter movement as we work together for freedom, liberation, justice, equity, and peace.
