James Lindsey (AKA Jalin Roze) and the Grand Nationals to Perform with Teddy Abrams
LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (June 17, 2016) — The Muhammad Ali Center, in partnership with the Republic Bank First Friday Hop, launches the inaugural ‘First Friday at the MAC’ on Friday, July 1st from 5:00-9:00 p.m. The family-friendly block party inside the Center includes live music and dance demonstrations, mystery tours, and a kids’ activities space. All activities are free. Admission to the Center’s exhibits is $5 for adults and free for ages 18 and under.
The July 1st First Friday event features a live performance by local hip-hop artist James Lindsey, AKA Jalin Roze, and the Grand Nationals, with a special presentation by Louisville Orchestra conductor Teddy Abrams.
Other activities include:
- Kids’ activities with Global Game Changers
- Dance demonstrations
- Face painting
- Cash bar with “beverage gardens”*
- Social Marketplace with local artists, vendors, and organizations
- Local food trucks*
- Mystery exhibit tours by Center volunteers
- Admission to the Center’s exhibits*
