President Barack Obama visited the Ali Center in 2006 (as Senator Obama), shortly before he announced his bid for presidency. He visited with Lonnie and Muhammad, and toured some of the Center’s exhibits. Community members and admirers received a real treat by posing for pictures with The Champ.
