Statement from Muhammad Ali about the increase of violent extremism in Syria and Iraq

“It saddens me to hear that innocent human beings are suffering and dying at the hands violent extremists. Despite widespread misconceptions based on ignorance and the misuse of the Holy Qur’an, Islam does not support terrorism and indiscriminate killing of innocent civilians. In order to end this violence and find solutions, human beings of various beliefs must work together in harmony and not against each other. I send my deepest condolences and prayers to the families and loved ones of those who have been injured or died due to the actions violent extremists.” -Muhammad Ali
