The third annual Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Awards: An Evening to Celebrate Greatness, presented by Yum! Brands Foundation, was held at the Louisville Marriott Downtown. The fundraising gala honored people from around the world who are making significant contributions toward securing peace, social justice, human rights, and/or social capital. Gold Medalist and 1996 Olympic Torchbearer Janet Evan acted as emcee and host for the evening. Awardees included, Harry Belafonte for the Lifetime Achievement Award; Geena Davis for the Humanitarian of the Year Award; Rose Mapendo for the Gender Equality Award; Dr. Andrew Moore for the Kentucky Humanitarian Award; and six young awardees from Canada, Pakistan, Uganda, and United States of America.
