Daughters of Greatness: Corenza Townsend

Corenza was named chief administrative officer for Norton West Louisville Hospital in November 2022. Known as a change maker and visionary, Townsend specializes in finding operational solutions around known community and workplace opportunities, which are sometimes complex.

Corenza’s career spans over two decades, during which she has held key management positions. Her expertise in leadership and organizational development has been honed through hands-on experience and a commitment to continuous learning.

Townsend is a dynamic and accomplished leadership expert, consultant, and sought-after keynote speaker. With a passion for empowering individuals and organizations, Corenza has established herself as a thought leader in the fields of leadership development, innovation, and organizational transformation.

Corenza is active in the Louisville community, serving as a board member for several nonprofit organizations, including Dare to Care, GLI Foundation, Kentucky Derby Festival, Greater Louisville Medical Society, and ElderServe. She is also a multi-small business owner.

Corenza earned her Bachelor of Business and Marketing and her Nursing degree from Sullivan University in Louisville. She is the mother to Michael, a student ambassador and athlete.
