Join the Muhammad Ali Center, The Association for Teaching Black History in Kentucky, and the Filson Historical Society for a powerful Juneteenth celebration honoring freedom, reflection, and collective healing.

This year’s program will feature a keynote conversation with Rev. Dr. Kevin Cosby, President of Simmons College of Kentucky and a leading voice on racial justice and education. Dr. Cosby will speak on the significance of Juneteenth—not only as a commemoration of emancipation but as a call to embrace compassion as a driving force for equity and change in our communities.

This event gathers community to honor the resilience of Black Americans, past and present, and explore the ongoing legacy of liberation.
