The Emerging G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time) Award celebrates the best young athletes showcasing humanitarian work and excellence.
Highlighting Champions
The Emerging G.O.A.T. Awards were developed in 2025 to honor athletes who go above and beyond in their sport and humanitarian work, mirroring the Greatest of All Time, Muhammad Ali, and inspiring greatness within others.
The inaugural event took place at the Muhammad Ali Center on March 3, 2025, honoring Colorado Buffaloes cornerback and wide receiver Travis Hunter.
“The Emerging G.O.A.T. Award is meant to lift up those carrying forward Muhammad’s torch of greatness, both in sport and as a humanitarian,” said Ali Center President and CEO DeVone Holt. “I’m proud to present Travis Hunter with the inaugural award, and can think of no better representation of its intent and purpose.”
Hunter, the Heisman Trophy winner and two-time Paul Hornung Award winner, exemplifies Muhammad Ali’s dedication, and has advocated for those disadvantaged through his work and financial investment.
